01Overview
UI design for Sammam, an Arabic app for a hospital anticoagulant clinic. Patients on warfarin log their INR readings, follow their weekly doses and learn about food and drug interactions; clinical pharmacists follow their patients, adjust doses and write treatment-plan notes from the app and a web back office.
Color-coded INR readings · weekly dose tracker · warfarin, food and drug interaction guides · Sammam AI chat · pharmacist dashboard: patient search, today’s patients, dose calculator, treatment plan.
02The problem
Patients on warfarin need regular INR checks, frequent dose changes and close follow-up by the clinic’s pharmacists. The clinic wanted one app to make that follow-up and communication easier for both sides.
03My approach
- A.01
Arabic-first, right-to-left layout, with an English option
- A.02
INR shown like a traffic light (green in range, yellow slightly off, red too high or too low), with a calm explanation for each color
- A.03
INR entered with + / − buttons in steps of 0.1, on mobile and on the web
- A.04
Two journeys: patients on mobile, clinical pharmacists on mobile and on a web back office
04Key screens
Sammam: Patient home, new INR reading and what each color means
Sammam: Pharmacist dashboard: patient file, INR and prescription
